Ruger
Ruger is our wonderful Alaskan Malamute. Ruger came to us from a loving family breeder, Brown's Big Babies, located in Dixon, MO. For a malamute, he is rather lanky. When we do have enough snow for sledding, Ruger is our go-to lead dog. He excels on difficult terrain, and truly enjoys pulling. Ruger does not have quite as much foot speed as some other dogs, but once he settles into his pace, he can hold that pace forever. If you happen to be at a race with Ruger, you will know. He will be the dog at the start line screaming with excitement. Ruger is about as happy as they come. He truly is a one in a million leader, friend, and snuggle buddy.

Denali
Denali is our beautiful Alaskan Husky. We were lucky enough to find her at Wayside Waifs in Kansas City, MO. She was the perfect addition to our family. Denali is a spirited girl that is all about speed. She loves to run as fast and as far as she can. Denali gets very excited when she knows we are getting ready to head out for a running workout. Her favorite type of run is speed work. She loves the word "repeats" knowing this means "lots of running as fast as she can". She enjoys kayak, paddleboard, and paddleboat rides. She is also quite the cuddler and enjoys being lazy in her time off.

Prudhoe
Prudhoe is a sweet, playful Alusky we found at Pet Angels Rescue in Edmond, Oklahoma. He is quite playful and very inquisitive. After his first run, we quickly learned he is eager to please, hard working, smart, and willing to run. He is a very determined team member, and we are pleased at how hard he works. We have taken to calling him Prudy-Duck as he makes a quacking noise for the first quarter-mile of every run. Once running, Prudhoe does not like to stop or slow down, which is great most of the time, until there is a down hill. Prudhoe competed with Joy in the 2017 IFSS Dryland World Championships in the sport of canicross.

In his first year with us, Oso traveled to Poland to compete with Nick at the IFSS Dryland World Championships in the sport of canicross. He then returned to Poland with us in 2018 to compete at the ICF World Championships in canicross as well. He traveled to Sweden in 2019 to compete at the IFSS Dryland World Championships with Joy and to Czechia to compete in the 2023 Non-stop Dogwear Canix Open. BEST FRIENDS & CURRENT ANGELS
Fox
Fox is one of our namesake dogs. He was a Shiba Inu. If you have dealt with Shibas before, you will not be surprised to hear he was incredibly cat-like. Fox did not care to run (unless it was for food). Fox emjoyed typical cat activities: curling up in sunny spots, rubbing himself on your feet, and doing things on his terms. He was also the first to alert us to any "suspicious activity". On occasion, Fox enjoyed riding in the sled basket and letting the other dogs do all the work. We miss him dearly, and know he and Lucky are enjoying their time together again.

Lucky
Lucky is the other of our namesake dogs. Lucky was a Flat-Coated Retriever mix. Lucky was a great friend and loved running, but did not have the endurance of the sled dogs. On a run with Lucky, he would lead for the first mile, run with you for the second, and run behind you for the third. Lucky was an attention hog that always needed to be at the center of the action. We wish he was still with us.

Calypso
Calypso was our lovely Siberian Husky. We were fortunate enough to find her through Paws Place, a great rescue in Rocky Mount, MO. She was a fun-loving and energetic girl that enjoyed spending time with her pack. She was quite vocal and loved to tell you about her day. Calypso was one of the most compassionate and loving friends you could ever have. If you were having a bad day, a bit of time with Calypso would make all your troubles melt away. She would also attempt to mother any child she met. Whether it was running or food, you could tell when Calypso got excited, as she started to wiggle and dance. Unfortunately, due to Glaucoma, Calypso lost her sight in both eyes and was completely blind. Despite our best efforts and countless treatments, our sweet girl had to transition to a life without sight. However, her confidence soared, and she was able to complete a 5k at the Pineland Farms Trail Festival in Maine. This was an unfamiliar place and course, and the photos show her smiling the whole way. She is still an inspiration to us each day.

K2
Named after the mountain, K2 was a beautiful and charming boy who came to us from Heartland Husky Rescue. K2 was smart, inquisitive, and truly wanted to please in his own way. He enjoyed following us around the house and helping with whatever task we were doing. We had to watch him though, because he's was likely to steal your sandwich off the counter! He was our little carb lover. He was known for his antics as was extremely smart and a bit manipulative too!
K2 liked to stop and smell the roses and enjoy life in every way possible. Despite his preferred speed of "slower" he did win a canicross race and was so proud.
This gorgeous boy reminds us to love life and do what we enjoy in our very own way. He was truly a blessing. We know he has found his best girl Calypso and they're running and playing together again.
